Insulin capsules may soon become a reality
for millions of people diagnosed with diabetes

Oramed has successfully completed Phase 1A and 1B clinical trials with its oral insulin capsule. The Phase 1A clinical trials were intended to assess both the safety/tolerability and absorption properties of Oramed's proprietary oral insulin delivery technology. The trials examined changes in insulin, glucose and C-peptide plasma concentrations over time in healthy volunteers under several differing oral dosing scenarios. Phase 1B trials were intended to find the optimal dosage of Oramed’s oral insulin capsule. These trials were conducted with healthy volunteers as well.

Oramed expects to start Phase 2A trials in the upcoming months.
